We begin this week’s “Back in the Day Buzz” with a bizarre story about former Destiny’s Child member Farrah Franklin, who appears to have partaken in one too many beverages. To be exact, Franklin was arrested earlier this week for disorderly conduct after falling asleep/passing out in a random person’s front yard in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The story is really quite sad and worrisome when you consider that the two men Franklin had been with earlier in the night believe that she was on drugs. We have some really, really, REALLY sad and disappointing news, as tragedy once again hits the group Hi-Five. That’s because last Wednesday, Hi-Five member Russell Neal was arrested for murder in the stabbing death of his girlfriend. Neal is 40 years of age, and his girlfriend (Catherine Martinez) was 24. Together, they had two young children, who are currently in the supervision of Martinez’s mother. This is just so hard to grasp – from all accounts, the two got along great, but then randomly, last Wednesday, Neal drove himself to the Houston police station and said, “My girlfriend is dead. For starters, her husband (Dean McDermott) just got out of rehab for a variety of personal problems, including substance abuse and cheating.
