In late 1992, Blind Melon first found itself on the pop charts with the song “Tones of Home.” But by 1993, the Los Angeles based band struck gold with the smash hit “No Rain.” While tragedy hit the band in 1995 with the death of lead singer Shannon Hoon, Blind Melon fought through tough times and stayed united, even to this day. Dave O recently spoke with original co-founder Rogers Stevens about the early days of the band, the unthinkable tragedy involving Hoon and what it’s like being a graduate of Penn Law.
