The biggest pop culture story at the moment is the transformation of Bruce Jenner into Caitlyn Jenner, which is well publicized in the latest Vanity Fair!
And while Caitlyn Jenner doesn’t have a lot of relevance to the ’90’s (outside of a couple of TV show appearances and a Saturday Night Live skit), I thought it was an amazing enough of a life story to chime in on.
I want to APPLAUD Caitlyn for standing up for what she believes in, and that is equality for all people, no matter the sexual orientation, race, gender, etc. Not only that, but being willing to be a voice for an entire community of people. That is something that requires great courage, especially with all the hatred in the world.
The story itself is really pretty amazing… One of the best track and field athletes of all time (and a heck of a TV personality) decides to change into a woman… and a darn attractive one at that, especially at 65!!! I love what my Mom had to say about it.
“Dave… if Bruce Jenner can look that spectacular… I mean AWESOME… Maybe I need to have a sex change, too. Imagine if my skin could look like that again at the same age!” Hahaha. I love my Mom.
Anyway, I don’t know if this was my best post on here or if I correctly construed what I’m trying to say but in summary… it is BRAVE individuals like Caitlyn that we need much more of in this world… people who are ACCEPTING of all types of people, don’t judge and are willing to stand up for something or someone they believe in…
