It’s Super Bowl Weekend and we couldn’t be more excited about seeing Red Hot Chili Peppers performing during halftime of “the big game!”
And in true RHCP form, they are taking an exciting performance and making it even better, as drummer Chad Smith will be auctioning off his custom drum set for charity. The proceeds will go to the “Make-A-Wish Foundation,” which is doing as much for kids as anyone. Thank you Chad for doing this and thank you Bruno Mars for inviting RHCP to join you on the field during the Pepsi Halftime show in the first place!!! Should be a memorable show.
Next, the bizarre life of Sinead O’Connor continues after she was admitted to the hospital twice last week.
First, it was kidney stones that put her in. Then, just two days later the pain came back, and it was determined that she likely had an abdominal aneurysm that was caused by “an extremely emotional traumatic event.” O’Connor didn’t elaborate on the trigger event, but did privately tell friends that she was in so much pain, she didn’t think she’d survive (now that is SCARY).
I for one am glad Sinead is feeling better and continue to send her strength and thoughts. She definitely needs a bridge built over the troubled waters of recent years, which include doctors insisting that she isn’t bipolar (despite her claims), publicly fighting with Miley Cyrus (after she told Miley to “quit prostituting herself), suicidal tweets that made police worry and very odd descriptions posted on dating sites.
Since we support all 90’s stars on Round Trip (including Sinead), we have to also “back” Boyz II Men as they stare a potential lawsuit in the face!
This story JUST broke so I don’t have a lot of info on it yet, other than there is a movie called “Boys 2 Men” that is in the process of coming out and the group says that if it the title isn’t changed immediately, they will sue. Turns out the director and crew of the movie never asked for permission to use the title, which Boyz II Men insist is way too similar to their group name for permission to NOT be asked. So far, neither side is backing down, so we’ll keep you updated on where this goes.
In the meantime, we hope you have a fantastic weekend and take care – and as always, keep livin’ the 90’s dream!!
