One song that we should probably play more on Round Trip is “The Most Beautiful Girl In The World” by Prince. Although technically, I think it was by “symbol” at that time (sorry, my keyboard can’t make the appropriate marks, so we’ll just call him “symbol”).
Why do I randomly bring up “The Most Beautiful Girl In The World?”
A. It’s a kick butt ’90’s pop song but:
B. Prince is on my mind because it was just announced that he is going to be appearing on an episode of “New Girl” following the Super Bowl in just one week!
Here’s the official description of the episode, courtesy of Entertainment Weekly:
“Jess is ready to paint the town purple when a chance encounter finds her and her best friend CeCe invited to a once in a lifetime mansion party throw by music legend Prince. Not wanting to miss out, Nick, Schmidt, Winston and Coach are determined to crash the festivities. The episode also has other big cameo appearances.”
Pretty cool, huh? Especially since Damon Wayans Jr. is also going to be on the show.
Last for this week, I want to let you know I’ve gotten into contact with Carol Potter (AKA “Cindy Walsh” from the original Beverly Hills 90210) and she’ll be joining us on an episode of Round Trip in the next month or so. Don’t want to give away too much, but she’s working on quite the interesting post-acting career in L.A. as a counselor. Like I told her as we set up the interview, you’re touching peoples lives and making a difference even all these years later.
