I have my 32nd Birthday next week, and the older I get, the more difficult it becomes to hide my true feelings… So that’s why I’ll just come out and admit it.
I have a man crush on Nick Lachey.
There, I said it. Years and years of admiration for the pimp are finally revealed. And wow, it feels so liberating to go on record with that fact. Hahaha.
To be serious, Nick is one of my favorite people in pop culture by far – not only because I loved 98 Degrees back in the day, and not only because I had an ex who made me watch episode after episode of Newlyweds with him and Jess. And, not only because he’s cool to hang out with in person and a man’s man – sports fanatic and funny.
But what put my feelings over the top and to the forefront are what Nick did last Sunday in San Diego, as he was in town to watch his beloved Cincinnati Bengals take on the Chargers.
During the game, a fan in front of Nick turned around, pointed a finger in his face and yelled expletives. Nick responded like any normal person would, talking back, and somehow, some of it got captured on video and can be seen throughout the Internet. Nick (and the other guy) ended up being escorted out of the stadium, and as a diehard sports fan, this makes me laugh and like Nick even more. Outside of 90’s music, sports is my #1 passion.
Now, if only Nick would quit teasing us with these rumors of 98 Degrees getting back together…
Since we’re talking about Nick, it doesn’t seem right to not mention Jessica, too. And Jess is actually in the news as well.
Rumors are that she is preggo, and I bet by the time this is published, it will be official in one capacity or the other. The rumor is that it was “unplanned” but she is elated. It would be the second child for Nick Lachey’s ex, who is now 32 years old.
And one other Jessica opinion while we’re on the topic – I think she is BEAUTIFUL and I’m sick and tired of people making fun of her weight. There are far too many out of touch with reality, rude, crude and mean people in this world. She is a beautiful person, inside and out, and her weight is not bad on top of that. And that is all I have to say about that (to quote the great Forrest Gump).
