Culture Beat

Culture Beat was masterminded by the late Torsten Fenslau, who was lost tragically in an automobile accident right at the height of Culture Beat’s success in November of 1993. Fenslau was just 29 years of age at the time, and unfortunately never got the chance to fully comprehend the impact his project would achieve. Culture Beat hit #1 in eleven countries with “Mr. Vain” and won multiple Echo Awards in Germany. Dave O recently caught up with Torsten’s brother Frank, who would take over Culture Beat in November of 1993 and continue to achieve loads of success. Topics discussed include what kind of a man Torsten was, how difficult it was to forge ahead after the tragedy and the current status of Culture Beat, to name a few.
