Most diehard music fans are aware that the Presidents of the United States of America were nominated for two Grammy Awards “back in the day,” due largely to huge hits like “Lump,” “Peaches” and “Kitty.” However, that’s only the tip of the iceberg for the Seattle based band, which was formed in 1993 by Chris Ballew and company. Dave O recently spoke at length with Chris about what it was like knowing and living with Beck prior to the P-USA blew up, as well as how the band came up with its name, politics, song meanings and Chris’ new project, Caspar Babypants, which is music for families.
